THREADLIFTING

Threads lift and tighten the face and body using sutures which stimulate collagen production and improve skin condition. This non-surgical lift procedure to combat aging is an alternative to surgical facelifts that is more affordable, less invasive and has a greatly reduced recovery time.

Threadlifting IconDuring a Threadlift, temporary sutures or threads are used to produce a subtle but visible “lift” in the skin. Instead of removing loose facial skin surgically, threads are inserted into the skin to create the effect of lifting and tightening of the face. This treatment produces subtle, visible changes by lifting the face by a few millimeters, resulting in a more natural look than facelift surgery.

RECOMMENDED USE

Threadlifting lifts and tightens the entire face and body with the placement of temporary sutures for a more youthful appearance. Combat aging with the thread’s incredible ability to stimulate collagen production for improved skin tone and firmness.

As we age, our bodies gradually produce less collagen, resulting in a loss of volume and strength that creates excess skin and wrinkles. The Threadlifting procedure helps combat aging by activating the body’s healing response with a surge of collagen to the suture-treated areas. This collagen provides ongoing and progressive rejuvenation to the facial tissues by helping to keep our skin strong, voluminous and supple.

Thread lifts are relatively non-invasive and thus, low risk. There is also little risk of scarring, severe bruising, bleeding or other complications. Threadlifting is best-suited for patients experiencing mild to moderate, rather than severe, signs of skin laxity.

The main indications for Threadlifting include:

  • Sagging neck
  • Neck lines
  • Wrinkles on décolletage
  • Body: sagging breasts, elbows, knees, upper arms, thighs, tummies and bottoms

The treatment effects are:

  • Skin rejuvenation
  • Smoothing wrinkles
  • Loose skin after diet
  • Skin Lightening
  • Increase skin volume
  • Lifting the skin

PRE-TREATMENT CARE

  • To reduce the risk of bruising, do not take any anti-inflammatory or blood thinning medications for 1 week before the treatment. This includes Aspirin, Motrin, Ibuprofen, Advil, Antihistamine Medications, Vitamin E, Fish Oil, Gingko Biloba, St. John’s Wort, and Garlic supplements. Avoid consuming alcohol the night prior to treatment.
  • Do not schedule injections before an event. Allow at least 2 weeks before any major event in case of any bruising or swelling occurs.

POST-TREATMENT CARE

  • For mild pain or headaches Tylenol is preferred.
  • After the treatment, DO NOT massage areas where the threads are placed unless instructed.
  • Treated areas may be slightly red, swollen, slightly irregular and bruised for the first 2-5 days. This will settle out.
  • DO NOT get a facial or massage in areas treated for 2 weeks after your procedure.
  • Avoid strenuous workouts and alcohol for 24 hours.
  • If bruising occurs, continue Arnica supplements or apply topical Arnica gel, drink fresh pineapple juice, and take Bromelain supplements to help bruising resolve more quickly.
  • Depending on the areas treated, if around the mouth, DO NOT undergo dental procedures for 3-4 weeks.
  • DO call the office if you notice any threads extruding from the skin.
